Reflecting on the 2021 Supply Chain Issues

As we head into 2022 and take one step closer to post-pandemic life, I want to reflect on the last few years in the supply chain industry with optimism on where we are now and how far we have come.

Although the supply chain has received much attention (Truck Driver shortage, labor shortages, port backups, etc.), the demand for goods and services must be a focus. Our work is not only being noticed within our industry but in all industries.

Amid the pandemic, we are seeing spending at a record pace. Demand has never been higher. The logistics and supply chain industry has responded with solutions and quickly adapted to ensure that the supply chain is functional and exceeding expectations for our customers.

Whether you are an employer or an employee, there has never been a better time to be in the supply chain industry than in 2021. As the country began experiencing supply chain difficulties, the demand for trustworthy logistics providers and to fill supply chain jobs grew exponentially.

I believe we are coming out post-pandemic as a better logistics company. We have fine-tuned our processes to succeed and go above and beyond for our customers, carriers, and employees.

While we have no control over the political landscape, natural disasters, or a pandemic, we have control over how we, as a logistics company, navigate and perform during these situations.

As we tackled 2021’s supply chain issues, we’ve learned how to adjust, thrive, and flourish. I look forward to a new year of continued logistics solutions as we keep the world moving forward into 2022.
